A 200-person Lloyd’s Managing Agency was creating a new permanent Head of Data role, with a clear ambition to improve diversity within its technology leadership team. This was particularly challenging due to the limited number of female Heads of Data in the insurance market and a highly competitive talent landscape.

The Solution

JSS took a consultative, research-led approach. We mapped the entire insurance data leadership market, engaging all identifiable female Heads of Data while also identifying high-potential Data Managers capable of stepping into a senior leadership role. We advised an exclusive search to ensure a focused process, strong candidate experience and clear timelines from brief through to offer.

The Impact

The role was filled within five weeks, with all candidates fully engaged throughout the process. The successful candidate became the organisation’s first female IT leader and is now building out her team. Both client and candidate reported a highly positive experience.
